Kenya Cinema Week – Terms and Conditions for Participants
1. Original Work Requirement All submissions must be the original work of the individual submitting them. Participants must ensure that they hold full rights to their submitted films, artwork, or any other materials associated with their entries.
2. Copyright and Intellectual Property Compliance Submissions must not contain any copyrighted material, including but not limited to music, footage, images, or scripts, unless the participant holds the appropriate licenses or permissions. The participant is responsible for verifying the ownership of all elements included in their submission.
3. Legal Responsibility Kenya Cinema Week and its organizers do not take any responsibility for legal actions arising from false claims, copyright infringement, or unauthorized use of materials in submitted films or artwork. Participants bear full legal responsibility for their submissions.
4. Submission Guidelines
Films must be submitted in the required format as specified by the event organizers.
Submissions must not contain offensive, defamatory, or unlawful content.
Participants must provide accurate and truthful information during the submission process.
5. Rights and Permissions By submitting their work, participants grant Kenya Cinema Week the non-exclusive right to screen and promote their films in relation to the event. However, ownership and copyright remain with the original creator.
6. Disqualification and Penalties Submissions that violate these terms and conditions may be disqualified without prior notice. Any participant found to have submitted fraudulent or plagiarized work may be banned from future events.
7. Agreement to Terms By submitting their work, participants acknowledge that they have read and agreed to these terms and conditions. Non-compliance with any of the above terms may result in disqualification or legal consequences.
